Wedding Stationery

SAVE THE DATE

Before the formal invitations are sent, relatives and close friends can be informed by a personal letter or save the date cards; these are done as soon as you have booked your wedding venue. Unless everyone is local it is useful to include a map or sketch of the area and highlight appropriate places describing the most favourable routes. If cars are provided on the wedding day this should be clearly stated, also include some information about accommodation costs and if several guests stay in one place if they could recieve a discount for a group booking.

INVITATIONS

Decide about 6mths before your wedding date to order wedding invitations, choose colour and design to suit your colour scheme. Allow at least 4wks to confirm all details with your wedding stationery provider and check a proof print. This also applies to evening invitations. Order extra for last minute additions, lost invitations and souvenirs.

ORDER OF SERVICE

The benefit is that the congregation can follow the service and hymns without referring back and forth from prayer book to hymn book. They also eliminate the need to share books. The minister must be consulted before printing is authorised to ensure that all elements are completed and correct, for example: if prayers and responses are to be included, they need to appear in the correct order. It is sensible to order a few extra for unexpected friends. The minister and the choir also need to be included as well as all attendants. On the wedding day, the groom holds 2 copies and passes one to the bride inside the church.

 MENU

One should be ordered for each table especially if there is a choice of fayre.

PLACE NAME CARDS

Useful so that guests know where to sit at the reception, full names should be used.

LUGGAGE TAGS

This is another way of letting your guests know where to sit, they can be left loose on a plate or tied to either a flower that has been used in the wedding decor or a champagne/wine glass.


 SEATING PLAN

In addition to place name cards, an overall seating plan is usually prepared so that guests know the general location of their seats as they enter the dining room.

ORGANZA FAVOURS

These are offered as a small thankyou gift to your guests for celebrating your wedding with you. DUE TO NUT ALLIGIES we normally enclose 5 chocolate drages into each favour although sugared almonds are available on request.    HEALTH, WEALTH, HAPPINESS, LONG-LIFE AND FERTILITY
