SAVE THE DATEBefore the formal invitations are sent, relatives and close friends can be informed by a personal letter or save the date cards; these are done as soon as you have booked your wedding venue. Unless everyone is local it is useful to include a map or sketch of the area and highlight appropriate places describing the most favourable routes. If cars are provided on the wedding day this should be clearly stated, also include some information about accommodation costs and if several guests stay in one place if they could receive a discount for a group booking.
