DID YOU KNOW ?

It is traditional for the bride on leaving the reception, to throw her bouquet over her shoulder into the group of unmarried female guests. Supposedly, the person who catches it will be the next one in the room to marry.  In earlier days, the bride often threw one of her wedding shoes!

Tossing the garter is similar to throwing the bouquet except that the groom removes the brides garter and throws it over his shoulder into the group of unmarried males.
